Weddings at Fox Hills Surry

The families of Joanna & Kevin celebrated in style. Joanna & Kevin were a wonderful couple to share the day with and despite the low temperatures on a spring day in April, Jo braved the cool climate to tour the grounds on a golf buggy. Allowing me to get some great shots of the couple together before taking their seats for a sumptuous wedding breakfast.

Climate change plays havoc with summer weddings. But today was a fine day as we photographed Zoe and Spencer’s wedding at St Mary’s Church Old Basing and their reception at the beautiful Oakley Hall on the outskirts of Basingstoke, Hampshire.

The groom was relaxed as he made his way to the church with his best man and ushers. The service was emotional and very moving. Then onto the reception and the afternoon was a wonderful family affair. Throughout the day my partner and I captured a great set of images all of which you can see in the portfolio Storybook album

Clock Tower, Hampshire.

A fabulous blend of summer colours set the theme for this fifties style wedding. The Bride captivated the guests with a stunning dress with empire cut line and lace cap sleeves, which was embroidered with crystals and beads and for the headdress a vintage birdcage veil. The bridesmaids dressed in a mix of pencil skirts and full skirts in black and white poker dots, red belts and shoes.

The bridal bouquet was a glorious bunch of bright yellow sunflowers and the Interior of the Clock Tower was bedecked with sunflowers.

A Great British Summer:

As a kid spending many a summer holiday in North Wales my dad would always say

“Whatever the weather we’ll whether the weather whether we like it or not.”

Now as a wedding photographer one can never expect the perfect conditions for a days wedding. This summer has certainly thrown up its challenges and the honour of the bravest bride must go to Vlada for meeting the weather face on. We braved the elements on the Italian terrace at Tylney Hall before retreating to the reception halls magnificent staircase.
